U-Bild 854 Curio Table Project Plan Dimensions: 8.0' 0.3' 9.0' Detailed step-by-step instructions Full-size traceable patterns (where needed) In-progress photos and exploded diagrams Complete materials lists and cutting schedules If you're a collector (or if you're married to one), you know that there's never enough space to display your treasures. Now there's a do-it-yourself solution that does double duty. This handsome curio coffee table project not only protects and displays prized collectibles; it also looks great in front of the sofa. The clever design is built around two big drawers under a heavy glass top. The drawers are duplicates, and both provide about four square feet of display space that can be flocked or lined to protect the contents. To change what's on display, simply switch the drawers. The project is built primarily from two sheets of veneer plywood and a small quantity of matching dimensional lumber (oak as pictured, but other species can be used). Other required materials include dowels, knobs, fasteners, finish of choice and a piece of tempered glass for the top. Since all of the table's cuts are straight, construction is simple enough for a beginner. The completed curio table measures about 38 inches long by 24 inches deep by 17 inches tall.
